Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake

The Role:
Keyrus is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing Data Delivery team. This is a critical role that will leverage cloud-based tools and provide thought leadership in enhancing existing data solutions.
The successful candidate will be customer-focused and passionate about leveraging modern data architecture and technology to create significant business impact across organisational boundaries. This engineer will bring experience with SaaS/cloud solutions (Snowflake/Azure), data engineering techniques, DevSecOps automation, and best practices for building, maintaining, and enhancing state-of-the-art big data platforms.

- Hybrid model - 3 days at Pune Office, India
- Salary range: 25,00,000 to 35,00,000 INR
Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver large enterprise-scale big data ecosystems; evaluate existing data architecture and collaborate with team members to continuously enhance and evolve the data technology stack.
- Implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Snowflake SQL, stored procedures, and other relevant tooling.
- Analyse data by joining, enriching, and validating to ensure quality and meaningful insights.
- Ensure that all Non-Functional Requirements (e.g., security, performance, availability and disaster recovery/fail-over, scalability, compliance) are properly articulated, designed, implemented, and documented.
- Evaluate, prototype, and recommend emerging cloud data technologies and platforms from open-source or vendors; independently conduct POC projects.
- Communicate complex technical topics to non-technical business personnel and assist with scoping and architecting cloud data solutions.
- Partner with Data Governance teams to ensure accurate and complete metadata collection (e.g., using Collibra).
- Promote data mesh principles and best practices to broad user groups across technology and business areas.
What we're looking for in our applicants:
- 10+ years of experience developing data and services in enterprise and/or cloud environments.

Strong knowledge of data warehouse and data lake architectures, as well as data management processes.

Proven expertise in developing and optimising SQL modules.

Hands-on experience with modern cloud storage and services such as Snowflake and Azure.
- Practical experience with DevOps and automation tooling (e.g., Terraform, GitHub).
